Process plant structures — fabricated steel for industrial and process facilities
Process plant structures are the fabricated steel frames that hold up a facility’s operating equipment — not the equipment itself, but the steel that makes layout possible: pipe racks, equipment supports, access platforms, stair towers, and transfer structures between levels. Sun Corporation delivers these as IS 800:2007 compliant fabrication packages from our Hyderabad workshop, with documentation built for EPC tender review and PMC sign-off.
Typical inclusions in a plant steel package
- Main and auxiliary pipe racks
- Equipment support frames and pedestals
- Operating and maintenance platforms
- Stair towers and ladders to IS 800 access requirements
- Conveyor and material-handling support steel where in structural scope
- Crane runway and monorail support steel when shown on drawings
How we work with EPC teams
Most process plant steel arrives in phased IFC packages. We align shop drawing release, fabrication slots, and dispatch to your construction schedule — not as a single bulk delivery unless the programme allows. Heat-number traceability, weld inspection records, and dimensional reports are compiled into a project quality dossier at handover. Workshop proof for prequalification is on manufacturer credentials.
Capacity
500+ MT/month workshop throughput; typical plant structure packages from 100 MT to several thousand MT. Minimum enquiry 50 MT fabricated steel. Core fabrication and erection are not subcontracted.
